Recovered from Coma

I’m a recovering drug addict. I’m clean and sober now by the grace of God. However, I ended up going to jail, and I was sentenced to a year and a day. And after 6 months of being incarcerated, and I was told that my father was passing away from lung cancer, lack of oxygen, heart problems, and he was on the life support machines.

So I began to change my life by praying and reading the Bible. I cried, in a shellfish way, “Please Father, I want to make amends with my father.” So I spent seven days, every hour I could, even when I was asleep asking God, please I want to see my father, I want to make amends with my father.

So six months later, I was released from jail. And I jumped from one bus from another and went straight to the hospital, 700 – 800 miles away. I fought with the nurses and everything showing the nurses that I was his son. Then I saw him dead…hooked up to all of those machines. I cried and I was right next to him asking God to send me an angel.

I had this feeling, if I wanted to see my father alive, I had to unplug these machines. So when I asked for an angel, God sent me an angel to show me what to do. He sent me a nurse. What looked like a brand new nurse. I told him, “You’re an angel.” And he told me, “I’m far from that.” He looked at me like I was crazy, and I said, “no, no, no you don’t believe in angels, but I do…and I just asked God for an angel and you walked in, and you are my angel.” Then he looked at me like, “whatever.”

Then he asked me, “What can I do for you?” I told him, “you are going to unplug my father, right now” at three o’clock in the morning, because I know if we unplug him my father is going to open his eyes. The nurse proceeded to tell me, “you know, if you unplug your father, your father is going to die.” We are not doctors over here (since it was so late at night) and I told him we signed all the papers and we did the process. So when the nurse unplugged my father, my father opened his eyes. However, he was choking on flem, and I helped the nurse suction out my father, and amazingly he was alive for the next three years. Things weren’t perfect, but I was able to nurse my father and watch my father in Church, pray with him.

God answers prayers.
